Hello, Amelia Island

Picture

Today was our first full day on Amelia Island, and it was incredible! The beach here is so secluded that I don’t feel claustrophobic in the slightest, which is a must for me to enjoy any amount of time on the beach. Evan was feeling under the weather today so Momma Holly and I spent the entire day in the sun! Evan’s cousin Chad came over this afternoon and we even got to have dinner with him too! After that we drove around the island until we found the prettiest dock over which the sun was setting…and how could I pass up that opportunity?

To be honest, I completely forgot it was St. Patrick’s Day! I wore this green romper($10 on clearance, Marshall’s) to dinner because I bought it in the middle of December and have been dying to wear it ever since.
The open back is perfect for a pretty bandeau or bralette ($22), like my new favorite from Dottie. The blush option was a must for my wardrobe because it beautifully complements the pieces I have that my bolder bralettes detract from.
My cognac gladiator sandals($20) are from TJ Maxx, and they are so comfortable! The strappy/buckled look has always been a favorite of mine, and I hope it never goes out of style!
The newest addition to my makeup routine is the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in “Soft and Gentle”. I love it because it gives me a soft glow without making me look like a ridiculous disco ball…like the sales associate in MAC managed to do. My face makeup is kept to blush (always) and concealer (when necessary), so it’s a big deal for me to add anything, but this product is amazing!

My rose gold Kate Spade cross body is one of my favorites, and has been a nice break from the humongous bag I’ve been favoring lately.

I’ve enjoyed my island vacation so far, and I can’t wait to see what else it has in store for me! I’ve managed to avoid any burning so far, but the week is young…cross your fingers for me!

Ashley
